An upcoming event may provide you some options.
ValleyWorks Career Center will present a March Madness Job Fair on March 4 at Osgood Landing, 1600 Osgood St., North Andover.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 40 or more employers are expected to participate. Job seekers can meet with representatives of a variety of industries, including administration, communication, customer service, education, engineering, finance, health care, insurance, manufacturing and transportation.
Event organizers say first impressions matter, and suggest attendees practice their 30-second introductions, dress neatly and have a clean appearance. Career Center members are asked to bring their membership information for quicker entrance.
ValleyWorks suggests that in preparation for attending this job fair that you attend one of these workshops: How To Work A Job Fair, Interviewing Techniques, Marketing Your Maturity, Mock Interview, Resume – Basic, Critique, Beyond Basic and The “WOW” Factor. Workshop dates and time are posted online at www.valleyworks.cc. Registration is required because seating is limited.
