Caribbean Escape event on tap: The Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce and co-organizer Nunan Florist & Greenhouses will hold their second annual Caribbean Escape event on Feb. 28 in partnership with exclusive sponsor Georgetown Bank.

The tropical-themed event will run from 6:30 to 10 p.m. in Nunan’s greenhouse, 269 Central St., Georgetown. The greenhouse will be transformed into a tropical paradise. Nunan’s home-grown tropical plants, waterfall vignettes and chatty Macaw will give the illusion of paradise, and they’ll turn up the heat so it will feel like you’re on a vacation on a tropical island. More than 125 people attended last year’s event. All participating organizations invite people in the Greater Georgetown and Haverhill areas to participate again this year.

This event is open to the public and will feature a tiki bar, food provided by Uno Pizzeria and Grill and Romano’s Pizza, a digital photo booth provided by Tapsnap, a live steel drummer and a disc jockey. Please dress in tropical attire, as best costume will be rewarded. The chamber and Nunan Florist will also hold several contests for more prizes, including a scavenger hunt and limbo competition. Raffle tickets will be sold for a chance to win prizes such as scratch tickets, a rum basket, gift certificate basket and more. Tickets to this event are $25 per person or $40 for two. Each ticket includes food and one complimentary beverage. For tickets or more information, contact the chamber at 978-373-5663 or visit online at www.HaverhillChamber.com.
