No soup for you!
Actually, this won't be the case at the third annual Winnekenni Chowderfest held on the castle's ground in Haverhill on Aug. 8.
The event will play host to many local restaurants and their chowders, and will feature a public vote to determine the area's best clam chowder.
The celebration will also feature a variety of live entertainment and fun activities all afternoon long, including Kids' Magic with Greg McAdams of Team Magic, Bubbles with Doctor Goose and Kids' Giant Bounce House.
The festivities will take place from 12 to 5 p.m., and admission is $10 per adult and $5 per child. The Chowderfest is presented by the Winnekenni Foundation and is co-sponsored by the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce and Merrimack Valley magazine.
