Haverhill High presents 'Fiddler on the Roof'


Get Smart Haverhill fundraiser ongoing: Haverhill public schools and UNO Pizzeria & Grill are holding their second annual Get Smart Haverhill fundraiser through April 13.

During this period, UNO’s will donate 20 percent of your total bill directly to your chosen school. Just present a fundraiser ticket to your server. The school that raises the most money will receive a SMART Interactive Response System and applicable software valued at $4,000 and donated by CCS New England. This year’s sponsors are CCS New England, the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce and Align Credit Union.

Align Credit Union is providing weekly incentive prizes to schools that raise the most money during the program. Prizes include a laptop, iPad and a $500 Staples gift card. A celebration party will be held at the end of April. Fundraiser tickets are available online at www.haverhill-ps.org or www.haverhillchamber.org and are valid for use in the restaurant and bar, as well as for take-out, delivery and catering. Tickets may be printed or shown to your server on your phone.

Learn about travelling to Italy: The public library will host a talk on traveling to Italy on March 27 at 7 p.m.

Craft fair at Whittier to benefit charity: The second annual craft fair at Whittier Regional High is March 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

About 25 vendors will offer a variety of items including jewelry, doll clothes, blankets, lamps and aprons. Refreshments will also be sold. All profits will be donated to local charities supported by the school’s Key Club. Whittier is at 115 Amesbury Line Road.

Community discussion planned: Somebody Cares New England will host a roundtable discussion for service providers, law enforcement and area churches on March 28 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., at 358 Washington St.
