The two organizations are looking for donations of household goods and clothing to make available for free to the community. No TVs, computers or large furniture will be accepted. Free diabetes workshop: A free diabetes workshop with free nutritional assessments runs for six weeks on Tuesdays from April 14 to May 19 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Merrimack Valley Hospital, 140 Lincoln Ave.
Workshops are provided by Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley. Complimentary lunch is provided by the hospital. More information is available by calling 978-946-1260.
Master piano workshop offered: The Music Program at Northern Essex Community College will offer a free master workshop in the art of piano playing by NECC music faculty member Christina Dietrich on April 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Hartleb Technology Center on the Haverhill campus, 100 Elliot St.
This workshop will give piano players the chance to perform and learn in a cooperative group setting. Solo piano works and instrumental and vocal works with piano accompaniment of various levels of difficulty will be explored. Various aspects of piano performance and preparation will also be discussed. Students at all levels of playing ability will benefit from attending these workshops.

NECC offers a Day in the College Classroom: Northern Essex Community College will host “College for a Day” on April 30, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the Haverhill campus at 100 Elliot St.
This event is free and open to the public and is an opportunity for prospective students to see all that Northern Essex has to offer.
