Cross Border Expo is Thursday

Would you like to tour exhibits by local restaurants, shops, spas and other businesses?

Are you a business person interested in connecting with other merchants?

Or are you a Boston Bruins fan?

If so, the fourth annual Cross Border Expo has something for you.

The expo will be held on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the gymnasium on Northern Essex Community College’s Haverhill campus, 100 Elliot St.

Admission is free.

This event is presented by the Greater Salem, N.H. and Greater Haverhill Chambers of Commerce, in partnership with Platinum Sponsor Pentucket Bank.

The event will highlight chamber members and area businesses and offer consumers the opportunity to directly connect with businesses throughout Southern New Hampshire, the Merrimack Valley and beyond. Exhibitors include restaurants, retailers, professional services, salons, spas, banks, non-profits and others. Exhibitors will offer food samples, discounts and direct sales to promote their goods and services to the public and peer businesses. Last year’s event hosted more than 90 vendors and had more than 1,000 attendees.

This year’s expo features free admission, free parking, free raffles every hour (including a cruise to the Bahamas), a live radio broadcast, coupons and discount offers and three celebrity guests.

Both Boston Bruins home game national anthem singer Rene Rancourt and American Idol contestant Liz Bills of Haverhill will perform and visit with guests, sign autographs and take photos.

This year’s premier guest celebrity, sponsored by Supercuts, is famed Boston Bruins great Terry O’Reilly.

To sign up as an exhibitor, contact the Greater Haverhill Chamber at 978-373-5663 or the Greater Salem Chamber at 603-893-3177.

Platinum Sponsor is Pentucket Bank. Silver Sponsors are Haverhill Bank, Holy Family Hospital, Trinity EMS and Spectrum Marketing. Celebrity Sponsor is Supercuts. Media Sponsor is The Eagle-Tribune. Host Sponsor is NECC. In-kind sponsors include Conte Electric and Haverhill Community Television.
