Cross Border Expo is Thursday

Trip planned: A Best of Times trip to see “Liza and Judy Together Again” at Venus De Milo in Swansea is planned for Nov. 12.

Tickets are $79 per person and include lunch, tickets to the show and motor coach transportation.

An overnight trip to the White Mountain Hotel in North Conway, N.H. is planned for Nov. 21 and 22. This trip includes dining, holiday entertainment, special cocktail pricing and shopping at the Christmas Dove and Calef’s Country Store in Barrington, N.H. Cost is $230 per person, double occupancy. Library offers children’s program: Music and Movement for Kids, a program for children ages 2 to 5, will be held Oct. 28 at 10:30 a.m. at the public library.

Throughout November, the library children’s room will be collecting diaper donations for the Anchor of Hope Diaper Drive. Stop by to drop off new diapers in any size or brand. Council on Aging plans Halloween party/dance: The Council on Aging will host a Halloween party/dance for the city’s senior citizens on Oct. 31 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

The event will be held at the Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St., and will include entertainment by disc jockey George Whitehouse of A Goodtime DJs. Whitehouse will bring his Coney Island Photo Booth as an added treat.

Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes, which are optional. The culinary staff at the Wingate of Haverhill will prepare food. The event will include door prizes. Tickets are $5 per person. For tickets or more information, contact Kathy Bresnahan or Rita LaBella at 978-374-2390.
