Master piano workshop offered: The Music Program at Northern Essex Community College is offering a masters workshops in the art of piano playing on Nov. 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hartleb Technology Center on the Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St.
Piano players will have an opportunity to perform and learn in a cooperative group setting. Solo piano works and instrumental and vocal works with piano accompaniment of various levels of difficulty will be explored with NECC music faculty member Christina Dietrich. Various aspects of piano performance and preparation will also be discussed. Students at all levels of playing ability are invited.

Annual Tea event planned: The Women of NECC will hold their annual Membership Tea on Nov. 19 at noon in the Hartleb Technology Center on the college’s Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St.
Florist Steve Janavicus of Flowers by Steve in Bradford will demonstrate how he creates his unique floral arrangements. His arrangements will then be raffled off.
The event will feature floral creations designed for the holidays along with an assortment of tea, sandwiches, appetizers, and a variety of desserts. This event is open to the public. Neighborhood meeting planned: Team Haverhill will host a neighborhood meeting to discuss renovation plans for the Portland Street Playground on Nov. 20 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall at Trinity Episcopal Church.
