Community Action selected Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce President, Sven Amirian, as its honored guest, acknowledging his strong drive for inclusion of individuals and businesses in community development and his ability to bridge many conversations for the greater good of the region. The evening will conclude with comedy and a roast of Amirian by nationally-known comedian Paul Nardizzi.

YWCA Tribute to Women: YWCA Haverhill will host its 25th annual Tribute to Women luncheon on May 28 at 11:30 a.m. at DiBurro’s function hall.

Since 1990, YWCA Haverhill has been honoring the outstanding achievements of women, who live and work in Haverhill, its surrounding communities and southern New Hampshire. Nominations can be made by co-workers, employers, peers, churches, families and friends. All nominees are inducted into the YWCA Academy of Women. More than 275 women have been honored since 1990. Nomination packets are available at the YWCA or by calling 978-374-6121. Deadline for nominations is April 11.

The Tribute to Women luncheon is the YWCA’s major fundraiser. Proceeds from sponsors, donors and ads in the program book help underwrite the growth and development of programs at the YWCA. Vendors needed for craft fair: Vendors are needed for a craft fair planned for June 7 at the Walmart in Plaistow, N.H.

The event, rain or shine, is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Vendor spaces are $20 each. Please bring your own table. Space is limited. Donations from space rentals will be donated to Boston Children’s Hospital. More information is available from Cheri at 603-556-3049.
