Youth groups have walk to prevent child abuse

(Continued)

This event, will which be presented annually, is open to all golfers not just NECC alumni. Renaissance Golf Club was recently named “Course of the Year” for all of New England by the New England Chapter of the National Golf Course Owner of America. The event begins at noon and will include 18 holes of golf, with a cart, lunch, an awards dinner, and a golf gift bag. Participants will have the opportunity to win a free car donated by Regan Ford, the event’s Hole-in-One sponsor. Other sponsors include the event’s practice range sponsor, Salem Co-Operative Bank, and dinner sponsor, Comfort Home Care. Golfers who register before April 1 will receive the early bird foursome special rate of $750. The individual golf rate is $200. For more information or to register, visit www.necc.mass.edu/alumni or contact Lindsey Mayo at 978-556-3621.

STEM College for Kids returns to NECC: Northern Essex Community College’s STEM College for Kids summer program will return to the Haverhill campus July 7 to Aug. 1.

Participants can enroll for one week or all four weeks. While the program is designed with a focus on fun Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) courses, there are many art and athletic opportunities to choose from. Children are encouraged to explore different subjects, gain new knowledge, and develop new skills in an engaging and supervised college campus environment. For more information or to be put on the brochure mailing list once the schedule has been finalized, please contact Vanessa Pepin at 978-659-1207 or email vpepin@necc.mass.edu. Visit the college online at www.necc.mass.edu.
