(Continued)

Hill will discuss his novel, “NOS4A2,” which was selected as the 2014 Haverhill Reads book. Read it then discuss it with the author himself. Register online at www.haverhillpl.org as space is limited and demand will be high. Hill is also the author of “20th Century Ghosts,’ “Heart Shaped Box,” the Locke & Key series with author Gabriel Rodriguez, and “Horns,” which is soon to be a major motion picture.

Safety with the Seasons program offered: Lesley Zamansky, RN, and Erica Venuti, RN, community health nurses for Guardian Healthcare, will present Safety with the Seasons on May 14 at 10:30 a.m. at the Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St.

As spring and summer approach, learn ways to stay safe and healthy — recognizing and caring for insect bites, protecting yourself from over exposure to heat and sun, proper nutrition/hydration, safety with mobility and fall prevention, and how the different seasons can affect your health.
