Country Jam Band: Winnekenni Castle will present a free concert by the John Penny Band on Sunday, July 15th from 2 to 4 p.m. The John Penny Band is a six piece country band with lead guitar, bass, keyboards, and drums, rhythm guitar and fiddle. All six members sing lead and backup vocals. The band's repertoire consists of contemporary and traditional country music as well as 50s & 60s oldies and pop standards. Food and refreshments will be available including hot dogs, popcorn, lemonade and root beer floats.

Outdoor Concerts: The 2012 season of the Make Some Noise free summer music series continues Thursday, July 19 at 6 p.m. in Columbus Park and Washington Square. TJ Wheeler performs blues and jazz in Columbus Park. Opening act is Nicholas Bogosian. Rockspring, a five piece high energy string band performs in Washington Square. In case of rain, performances will be held at the Chit Chat Lounge, 103 Washington St. The Make Some Noise music series continues through Sept. 20 and is funded by a grant from the Haverhill Cultural Council.
