YMCA acepting registrations: The Haverhill YMCA is now accepting registrations for it's licensed after school program! Our program provides homework assistance, a nutritious snack, fun curriculum, and engaging classes such as swimming, gymnastics, rock climbing, and more. Spotlight Playhouse seeks Board Members: The Haverhill-based Spotlight Playhouse theatre group is seeking new board members to bring fresh perspectives and help chart the group's course for the next few seasons. Board members are elected to two year terms. Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 24 Essex St., Haverhill. There are several positions that will be up for election in June. Seeking donations: The Buttonwoods Museum is seeking Civil War artifacts and stories pertaining to Haverhill's women both from local families and famous icons. The museum wants to hear your stories and possibly borrow your artifacts for an exhibit planned for this summer focusing on the role of Haverhill's women during the Civil War. Donations sought: Ruth's House, a nonprofit thrift store located at 111 Lafayette Square, is in need of donations of gently used clothing in all sizes and types for spring and summer. Winter clothing is not being accepted at this time. Much of the donated clothing is given to clients who are referred by more than 85 agencies and churches in the Merrimack Valley and Southern New Hampshire. Each client is given four weather-appropriate outfits of clothing four times a year and can purchase anything else in the store at a 20 percent discount. You may also drop off donations for the Sacred Hearts food pantry. All donations are tax deductible and donors will be issued receipts for their gifts. Donations may be dropped off on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. The store is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. More information is available by calling 978-521-5575.
