Comedy Night: A Comedy Night to benefit Riverside Bradford Cooperstown baseball team will be held on Friday, May 4, at 7p.m. at Maria's Restaurant, Haverhill, MA. Fun Run: St. Joseph School of All Saints Parish will hold its third annual Fun Run & Walk May 5 starting at 8:30 a.m. The 5K route goes through downtown Haverhill, crosses the Comeau Bridge into Bradford then the Basiliere Bridge into Haverhill. The 1.5 mile walk route through the city's arts and restaurant district is for walkers and runners. The first 150 people to register will receive an event T-shirt. All registrants will receive a free hot breakfast after the race. The run and walk is followed by a Family Festival featuring a DJ, games, face painting and other activities. Electronics fundraiser: On May 5, from 8 a.m. to noon, the Haverhill High Lacrosse Boosters are holding an electronics recycling fundraiser at Haverhill High. All types of items accepted for a fee. Proceeds from the event will support the Hillies Boys and Girls Lacrosse Booster program.

KidsFEST seeks vendors: This year's KidsFEST will be held on the upper deck of the Merrimack Street parking garage May 6 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Rain date is May 20. Downtown businesses and outside vendors have been steadily applying to promote their businesses, but more are needed. Space is available for restaurants, service clubs, and nonprofits, retailers and kid-focused vendors. Last year's KidsFEST welcomed nearly 15,000 children and adults and many vendors sold out of their products and informational paraphernalia. Even more are expected this year. KidsFEST is presented by the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce Community Support Committee in partnership with Merrimack Valley Hospital, Pentucket Medical Associates and Trinity EMS. All vendors booths are $100 and vendors must supply their tables. Set-up for the event will start no earlier than 8 a.m. All vehicles must be out of the festival area by 10:30 a.m. Participating vendors will receive their assigned placement when they arrive at the festival; this information will not be available prior to 8 a.m. on May 6.
