Walk for Youth will benefit Boys & Girls Club

(Continued)

Opening act is guitarist/vocalist and songwriter David Dodson.

The Jammin Divas are Aoife Clancy (Ireland), Becky Chace (USA), Kath Buckell (Australia), flutist Hadar Noiberg (Israel) and bass player Craig Akin (USA). Together they blend stunning renditions of traditional and contemporary original folk music and elements of improvisation from each of their cultures. Admission is $20 and $10 for ages 18 and under.

Tickets will be available at the door starting about 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be reserved prior to the show by visiting www.newmooncoffeehouse.org or by calling 978-459-5134.

The New Moon Coffeehouse, a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization strives to present the best performers in a relaxing, friendly, smoke and alcohol free environment, where you can enjoy a great show, fair trade coffee, and awesome desserts. Bring your own mug and the coffee is only $1 for the evening.

There are two parking lots available behind the church, on both sides of Ashland Street. You can also enter at the back of the church.

Auction Gala planned for Nov. 16: Team Haverhill will hold its “All Aboard Auction Gala” on Nov. 16 at the Haverhill Country Club, 58 Brickett Lane.

Doors open at 6 p.m. This event will feature a live and silent auction to help Team Haverhill meet its goal of raising $25,000 to match Pentucket Bank’s generous $25,000 contribution towards the Art Walk at the Bradford Rail Trail. With Matt Noyes as the auctioneer, the funds raised will allow Team Haverhill to commission the Art Walk, in partnership with Pentucket Bank. The Art Walk will feature several large, permanent sculptures, and a handful of smaller sculptures that will likely rotate.

The Auction Gala, also sponsored by Pentucket Bank, will include a dinner and live entertainment by members of Spotlight Playhouse. Early bird tickets can be purchased for $40 each at www.teamhaverhill.org before Oct. 17. On Oct. 17, tickets are $50 each, while available. Be sure to buy your tickets early as this event is likely to sell out. For more information, or to learn how to donate an item to the auction before the Oct. 17 deadline, visit online at www.teamhaverhill.org or email artwalkbrt@teamhaverhill.org.
