Walk for Youth will benefit Boys & Girls Club

Craft fair planned at Citizens Center: The Council on Aging will host a Craft Fair on Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St.

Local senior citizens will sell handcrafted items. More information is available from Kathy Bresnahan or Rita LaBella at 978-374-2390.

Class reunion this month: Haverhill High School’s Class of 1978 will hold its 35-year reunion on Oct. 19 from 7 to 11 p.m. at Salvatore’s on the River in Lawrence.

Scout Troop celebrates 100 years: Troop One Haverhill, the oldest Boy Scout troop in the Yankee Clipper Council, will hold its 100th anniversary celebration on Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. at North Point Bible College, 320 S. Main St., Bradford.

There will be a program with a guest speaker followed by dinner. Tickets are $20 per person. The troop meets every Friday night from September to mid-June at the Good Shepherd Methodist Church, 471 Main St. For more information about this event, contact David Nichols at pavid@msn.com or 978-373-4310.

Master piano workshops offered: The Music Program at Northern Essex Community College will offer two free masters workshops in the art of piano playing on Oct. 20 and Nov. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hartleb Technology Center on the Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St.

Piano players will have an opportunity to perform and learn in a cooperative group setting. Solo piano works and instrumental and vocal works with piano accompaniment of various levels of difficulty will be explored with NECC music faculty member Christina Dietrich. Various aspects of piano performance and preparation will also be discussed. Students at all levels of playing ability are invited.
