Walk for Youth will benefit Boys & Girls Club

Dietrich has appeared as a soloist with several orchestras and has performed at Jordan Hall in Boston, Symphony Hall in Boston, and Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York. She earned a bachelor’s in music from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, her master’s in music from Boston University and pursued her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at that institution. She is currently on the piano faculty of Indian Hill Music, Northern Essex Community College, and is founder and administrative director of the Chopin Conservatory of Music on the North Shore.

NECC to host college fair: Northern Essex Community College will once again host the New England Association of College Admission Counseling (NEACAC) Fair on Oct. 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Sports and Fitness Center on the Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St.

About 150 colleges and universities from around the country will be participating in this year’s fair. This event, which is free and open to the public, will be co-hosted by the Greater Newburyport College Night Association, consisting of the school districts of Amesbury, Georgetown, Newburyport, Pentucket, and Triton Regional Schools.

Library offers children’s programs: Stop by the public library’s children’s room Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m. for “Mixing in Math.”

This workshop will teach you how to sprinkle a little math into your daily routine. This program is sponsored by the Department of Early Education and Care.

Rocks and Minerals, presented by local geologist Bill Hammond, will take place in the Children’s Program Room on Oct. 24 at 3:45 p.m. Please register online.
