Walk for Youth will benefit Boys & Girls Club

Music and Movement for Kids, a program for children ages 2 to 5, will be held on Oct. 28 at 10:30 a.m. Please register online.

Throughout November, the Children’s Room will be collecting diaper donations for the Anchor of Hope Diaper Drive. Stop by to drop off new diapers in any size or brand. Rail Trail Mural dedication planned: The public is invited to attend the grand opening for the Rail Trail mural on the back of Arthur Sharp’s Hardware store in Bradford. The ceremony will be at 4 p.m. on Oct. 21.

The mural is a service learning project of the Access 21 after-school program at Haverhill High School. The Massachusetts Cultural Council helped fund this project and has invited state Sen. Kathleen O’Connor Ives, chairperson of the Tourism, Arts, and Cultural Development Committee. Mayor James Fiorentini also plans to attend.

Symposium on wound care planned: Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Merrimack Valley Hospital and Steward Health Care’s second annual Symposium on Wound Care will be held on Oct. 26 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Hartleb Technology Center on the Haverhill campus of Northern Essex Community College, 100 Elliott St.

Speakers and topics are: Walter Kwass, MD: Introduction and Overview of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy; Vera Cooke, DDS, MD: Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for Osteoradionecrosis; Tammy Dingman, CHT: Managing Risks and Complications of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy; and Micah Hemani, MD: Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy in Management and Treatment of Radiation Induced Cystitis.

Cost of $25 includes breakfast beverages, lunch, and 3.5 continuing education credits for nurses and physicians. The event is open to the public. Deadline for registration is Oct. 11.
