Michael Veves, owner of Pear Tree Lane Stable, 215 Middle St., offers a free horse training lesson on Sunday, Sept. 19, from 1 to 3 p.m.
The two-hour lesson is an educational opportunity; no participants will be riding the horses.
Children must be 8 years old to attend, and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. During the training, the daily life and care of a horse will be examined, while adults will receive a separate lecture discussing the costs associated with horseback riding.
Pear Tree Lane Stables features seven horses, and Veves runs this free training session two to three times per year.
Those wishing to attend must register ahead by calling 978-521-1505. Space is limited.
