Cycle for Shelter: The 24th annual Cycle for Shelter is July 22, rain or shine. All rides begin on the campus of Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill. Those services include meals, job and education training, and referrals to other services, such as substance abuse programs. This year's event features four rides, including a 24-mile "weekend warrior" route for novice cyclists. More than 2,500 homeless adults and children will seek help from Emmaus this year as they face homelessness. Riders are asked to raise a minimum of $200. Registration fee is $85 from April 16 to July 13 and $100 on the day of the event, if space is available. Please inquire about family registrations for riders under the age of 18. More information is available online at emmausinc.org or by calling Terri Rousseau at 978-241-3425.
