New Pop up Shop: Creative Haverhill is launching its new traveling pop-up shop featuring the work of local artists and artisans. This "art on wheels by design" will debut at Haverhill Goes Green, April 29 in GAR Park. A mini-van loaded with local art, crafts and merchandise displays will travel to popular one-day events throughout the year. Some of Haverhill's favorite artists and fine craftspeople will be selling and demonstrating their work, such as Richard Alexander and Michael LaFosse of Origamido, printmaker Linda Germain, painter Sharon Silverman, collagist Linda Koutoulas and floral and container designer Christine MacMillian from Cottage Gardens. Creative Haverhill's mission is to identify, nurture and promote the city's local creative workforce in the marketplace. Its first pop-up store, The Shops@90Wash, opened this past holiday season as a fundraising effort for Creative Haverhill and will return this year from Nov. 1 to Dec. 23.
