The Council on Aging is planning a Fourth of July celebration for July 3 at the Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St.
The event will be from 1 to 3 p.m.
George Whitehouse of A Good Times DJ will play music from the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s. Lunch will be provided by Broadway Caterers. Tickets are $8 per person.

The celebration is one of several social events put on by the Council on Aging each year. Winnekenni Castle is also the venue of some of the events.

Golf clinic offered: The Council on Aging golf clinic is in full swing at Garrison Par 3 Golf Center, 654 Hilldale Ave.
Golf professional Ted Murphy is directing the clinic again this year. Cost is $10 per week. Details are available by calling Murphy at 978-374-9380.
Lowell Spinners tickets available: Grandparents, children and grandchildren are welcome to enjoy a night at the ball park to watch the Lowell Spinners on July 22.
The game will begin at 7 p.m. Senior citizens will receive a voucher for tickets, a hot dog and a drink.

Tai chi classes offered: This ancient form of exercise helps reduce stress and anxiety, and also helps increase flexibility and balance.
It is a self-paced system of gentle physical exercises and stretching. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion. It is low impact and suitable for older adults.
The Council on Aging offers tai chi on Thursdays at 9 a.m. The cost is $5 per one-hour session.
Home Modification Loan Program: On June 9, Alan Trebat will speak on the Home Modification Loan Program at 10:30 at the Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St.
