For a day of farm-style family fun, the fourth annual Tattersall Farm Day is the place to be.
On Sunday, Sept. 19, from noon until 5 p.m., Tattersall Farm, at 542 N. Broadway, will be the site of activities, games and shopping opportunities with local artisans and farm stands, all organized by the farm's board of trustees.
"There's not many things you can do with the whole family for cheap," trustee Kathy Bresnahan said.
Planned events include an antique tractor show and pull, live farm animals and hay rides. A tethered hot air balloon ride, available from 4 to 6 p.m. will cap off the day's events.
Throughout the afternoon, local band E.J. Ouellette and Crazy Maggy will perform a blend of live fiddle, rock and jam music.
The day's events are sponsored by the Haverhill Cultural Council, the Tattersall Farm Charitable Trust and the Haverhill Rotary Club.
Tattersall Farm is a city-owned cultural landmark dedicated to preserving the farming history of Haverhill and providing a passive entertainment venue for residents and visitors.
Tickets for the day are $5 for adults and free for children under 16. All money raised from ticket sales will go toward rebuilding the farm's barn. The event's rain date is Sept. 26.
