Here's a chance to learn about old-time farming

Tattersall Farm Day provides family fun

The Trustees of Tattersall Farm and the Haverhill Rotary Club will host the sixth annual Tattersall Farm Day Sept. 22 from noon to 5 p.m.

The historic farm is at 542 North Broadway. Rain date will be Sept. 29.

Tattersall Farm Day is a New England-style cultural and educational event for people of all ages. Activities will include beekeeping, wine making, animal and farming demonstrations, storytelling, crafts, art work, pony rides, hay rides and antique tractors.

Live entertainment will be provided. Food and beverages will be available. NECN meteorologist Matt Noyes of Haverhill will meet visitors and answer weather-related questions.

Admission is $5 per adult, and children 16 and under are admitted free. There are additional charges for hot air balloon rides, pony rides and hay rides.

This event is an opportunity to learn about New England farm life and its cultural and historical influence on Haverhill. Proceeds will assist in rebuilding the farm’as historic barn.

For additional information, contact Kathy Bresnahan at 978-374-2390, ext. 11, or kbresnahan@cityofhaverhill.org, or tattersallfarm.org.
