Clinic will teach girls basketball skills

Here are events and activities happening around the city:

Halloween party planned: Northern Essex Community College’s Life Long Learning Program will host a Halloween party on Oct. 31 at 2 p.m. in the Hartleb Technology Center on the college’s Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St.

Costumes are optional, but there will be prizes for those who decide to march in a Horribles Parade in costume. Entertainment is a belly dance performance by IL’NARA, Hanna Yashmetsyeva of Haverhill.

Tickets are $15 and include lunch and entertainment. Life Long Learning is a program of lectures, study groups, and trips for adults. All programs are open to the public.

Council on Aging plans Halloween party/dance: The Council on Aging will host a Halloween party/dance on Oct. 31 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

The event will be held at the Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St., and will include entertainment by disc jockey George Whitehouse of A Goodtime DJs. Whitehouse will bring his Coney Island Photo Booth as an added treat.

Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes, which are optional. The culinary staff at the Wingate of Haverhill will prepare food. The event will include door prizes. Tickets are $5 per person. For tickets or more information, contact Kathy Bresnahan or Rita LaBella at 978-374-2390.

Bake sale announced: St. Joseph School of All Saints Parish has announced its annual PTO Bake Sale.

Baked goods will be sold after the 4 p.m. Mass on Nov. 2 and after the 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Masses on Nov. 3 at All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave. This bake sale is open to the public. Proceeds support student activities and events.
