Bank employees raise money for, donate to charities

Haverhill Bank employees have raised and contributed more than $1,600 to Cinderella's Closet, MooreMart and Haverhill Firefighter's Muscular Dystrophy "Fill the Boot" drive.

Cinderella's Closet provides used clothing to Haverhill High School students in need, while MooreMart supplies local children and soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan with needed materials.

The donating employees, members of the Haverhill Bank activities Committee, organized "Jeans Day," a day in which employees could donate $5 in exchange for the opportunity to wear jeans on a particular Friday.

"Bank employees are committed to giving back to the local community," said Haverhill Bank President and Chief Executive Officer Thomas L. Mortimer. "Whether they are out working at local events or wearing jeans to benefit a charity, I'm proud of their endeavors."
