Kevin DeVinney of Bradford has been promoted to the position of vice president at Eastern Bank.
DeVinney manages the bank's Melrose office and will maintain that role.
He has more than nine years of experience in branch banking and will continue to oversee customer relations, operations and business development.
He has held several positions of leadership at Eastern Bank, including manager of the Salem branch and assistant manager of the Lynnfells, Saugus office.
In Melrose, DeVinney supervises a staff of 11 employees who specialize in a wide range of banking services for consumer, nonprofit and commercial customers.
DeVinney, who holds licenses from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. and various insurance licenses from the state Division of Insurance, earned his bachelor's degree from Fairfield University. He's enrolled in the Certified Financial Planning designation at Boston University.
DeVinney is board president of the Melrose Chamber of Commerce and is a member of both the North Shore Chamber of Commerce and the Melrose Chapter of Rotary International.
He is a native of Long Island. He lives in Bradford with his wife, Erin, and their daughter, Allison. They are expecting their second child this month.
