Bradford Country Club will host its second annual spring bridal show on Sunday.
Through a partnership with Brides.com, Bradford Country Club compiled a list of local brides-to-be and they have all received invitations. The goal is to have 200 brides-to-be in attendance.
Simply Elegant Catering, the club's caterer, will provide hors d'oeuvres and sample wedding buffet stations for invited brides and their guests.
EZ Way Formal Wear and The Classic Couple will put on a fashion show. Models will wear bridal gowns and bridesmaids dresses, as well as tuxedos for the groom and the men in the bridal party. Locomotion DJ will provide background music and emcee throughout the afternoon.
The event is from 1 to 4 p.m. with the fashion show scheduled for 3 p.m.
Attendees will have a chance to win door prizes, including two round trip airline tickets to more than 50 destinations.
"Almost every vendor at the show has donated something to the raffle. Attendees will have a great chance at winning something they'll need for their big day," said Kristin Murphy, marketing director for Bradford Country Club.
Local vendors at the show will include Blush Skincare & Sunless Tanning, The Classic Couple, Cutting Edge Hair Salon & Day Spa, Elegant Endings, Foto Factory, Robert Michael's Limo, Skin Serenity MediSpa and Taylor Rental Party Plus.
Vendors from out of town include Anastasia's Floral Design, Bob Pare Photography, Imagine Video Productions, Lia Sophia, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Nihan's Floral Designs and Premier Bride.
The event will bring people in to see the new special occasion Tent Pavilion and Clubhouse Room the club put in just for wedding ceremonies and receptions, bridal and baby showers and other special occasions.
"We'll have pretty much anything a bride would need for her wedding day all under one tent. It's a great opportunity for brides to get everything they need to complete their day," said Murphy.
In the spring of 2007 the club constructed its three-season, 5,000-square-foot Tent Pavilion adjacent to the clubhouse, which can accommodate up to 250 people for a sit-down dinner and up to 300 for a standing cocktail reception. The tent is carpeted, has a wooden dance floor and is decorated with lighted ficus trees around the perimeter.
The club also renovated the interior Clubhouse Room and Lounge to host smaller functions throughout the year. It can accommodate up to 60 guests for a sit-down dinner and 100 for a standing cocktail reception. Guests may also access a deck that overlooks the golf course.
"We are very happy with the improvements. This allows us to hold weddings here, which we couldn't do in the past," Murphy said.
There is also a picturesque location on the property to host the ceremony or take photographs. The landscaped area has a white trellis that frames the bride and groom as vows are exchanged, plus bright flowers and chairs for guests.
"It's a beautiful place to have a wedding anytime from May through October. We already have 10 weddings this year," said Murphy.
