Gus Jr. and Kathy Basque of Bradford announce the engagement of their daughter, Melanie Michelle Basque, to John D. Muller Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Muller Sr. of Massapequa, N.Y.
Melanie graduated from Haverhill High School and Wheelock College with a BA in early childhood education. She is employed as a security guard at TD Banknorth Garden and as a toddler teacher at Bright Horizons at Landmark in Boston.
John is a graduate of the New York school system and is employed at Levine LLC in Boston as a shipping manager.
