Amanda Fontaine to wed Christopher Comeau
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Fontaine of Litchfield, N.H., and Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Comeau of Haverhill are pleased to announce the engagement of their children, Amanda Fontaine and Christopher Comeau.
Amanda is a graduate of Alvirne High School. She also graduated from Emmanuel College where she received a Bachelor of Arts in English communications. She is employed at General Electric in Billerica as a marketing communications specialist.
Christopher is a graduate of Haverhill High School. He also graduated from Northern Essex Community College. He is employed at TD Banknorth in Haverhill as a community development loan officer.
Chris and Amanda met in the fall of 2000 when Chris' sister, Cate, was a freshman at Emmanuel College on the Fenway in Boston. Amanda was her roommate, and it was not long before Cate's brother and her roommate noticed each other. Fast forwarding to November 2007, when Chris made arrangements to go back to the dorm room at Emmanuel where, years earlier, they had first met. After the romantic details had been planned with the dean of residence and the resident adviser of the building, Chris brought Amanda back to that room and presented her with a diamond engagement ring. Amanda happily said, "Yes," and a wedding is planned for November 2008.
The couple are purchasing a home in Haverhill, where they plan to live following the wedding.
