The seasons run from the first weekend after Labor Day, Sept. 10 and 11, through Oct. 26 and 27. The 13-year-old and 14- to 15-year-old divisions play on Saturday. The 16- to 18-year-old division plays on Sunday.

August events at public library: The public library is offering a variety of events this month. Here are the dates, times and details:
Marcy Yeager will discuss tips and tricks for making the most of your international travel in this International Travel 101 presentation on Aug. 22 at 7 p.m. in the Johnson Auditorium. Yeager is coordinator of the international studies program at Northern Essex Community College.
Author and Haverhill native Dave Goudsward will share his new book tracing HP Lovecraft’s ties to the Merrimack Valley on Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. in the Milhendler Room. Lovecraft, a world renowned horror writer, had deep ties to the Merrimack Valley and even incorporated the area into some of his most famous stories. All are welcome at this Adult Summer Reading Social event.
Library plans Guitar Day: The Langley Adams Library in Groveland will hold Guitar Day on Aug. 23 and 24 at 1 p.m.
Eric Clemenzi will bring a collection of instruments, including four- and five-string basses and six-, seven- and eight-string guitars, as well as a guitar that tunes itself. He will talk about the differences between the instruments, demonstrate cool effects boxes, and might let you play one.
Feel free to bring your own guitar and plug into some of the amps and effects boxes.
