John McCain has won the Republican nomination in the New Hampshire primary, and Hillary Clinton the Democratic nomination, according to The Associated Press.
"We showed the people of this country what a real comeback looks like," McCain told AP. "We're going to move on to Michigan and South Carolina and win the nomination."
McCain defeated rival Mitt Romney easily, winning 37 percent of the vote to Romney's 32 percent. Clinton's margin over Obama wasn't as wide. She received 39 percent of the vote to Obama's 37 percent.
