NASHUA, N.H. -- The mood among Barack Obama’s staff was one of cautious optimism as polls started to close across the Granite State.
“We’re feeling good, but, you know...” Obama spokesman Reid Cherlin trailed off as he made his way through rows of tables staffed by members of the national and international press at Nashua South High School.
Outside the high school, though, where hundreds of supporters waited in a long line snaking around the building, supporters were much more optimistic.
“It’s a movement. He represents change,” said 15-year-old Alexina Deluechia, of Wallingford, Conn.
The high school student said she came up to the Granite State to canvass for Obama today, and said she’s convinced he will win the Democratic nomination.
