Pastfinders Summer Camp: Buttonwoods Museum/Haverhill Historical Society will have its 18th annual Past Finders Summer Camp, a day camp for children in grades 1-7. This year's programs include: Gadgets and Contraptions, Digging into Archaeology, Young Americans, Act Like a Lady and Come Sail Away. The program encourages children to appreciate history through activities, arts projects, games and appreciation of the museum's collection. Camp will run for five weekly sessions. Wingmasters and North American Birds of Prey on July 28 from 11 a.m. to noon in the Johnson Auditorium. Wingmasters will bring an assortment of birds of prey to learn about and see. They will bring examples of raptors, which will be shown to the kids, but not handled or flown. This is an educational program for children in grades one or higher, and not for small children. Jungle Encounters on Aug. 11 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Johnson Auditorium. Jungle Encounters features at least five live wild animals. Animals might include a Bengal cat, hedgehog, skunk, chinchilla, and alligator. Admission is free. Come early for the best seating. This program is geared toward an audience of ages 5 and older.
