Don't miss out on government checks

The only way to receive the money is to fill out the 1040A tax form for 2007, even if you do not normally complete a tax return.
Deadline for completing the form is Oct. 15, so there is still plenty of time. Low-income residents must show $3,000 in earned income last year, including Social Security retirement benefits.
People who need forms can contact Wendy at the Council on Aging, 978-374-2390, ext. 19.
