Are you a Monopoly buff?
Do you like other old-fashioned board games such as Clue and Scrabble?
How about newer games such as Zombie Dice, Cash 'n Guns or Werewolf?
If so, the place for you to be Aug. 9 is Northern Essex Community College, where the student club Bacon Board Gamers will hold all-day gaming marathon. The event will be on the Haverhill campus, 100 Elliot St.
Everyone who enjoys board games is invited to attend. The college has a large selection of board games, according to Mike Cross, faculty adviser to the club, and those attending are invited to bring their own games.
"We’ll have tables set up for tournaments as well as cooperative board games," Cross said.
The Board Game Convention will be held in Room 260 in the E Building of the campus.
The NECC Bacon Board Gamers Club was founded two years ago in response to a growing student interest in playing board games. The club meets every third Friday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on the Haverhill campus.
