:Lobster, chicken luncheon: On Aug.15, the Council on Aging and NECC Life Long Learning program will host a lobster and chicken luncheon at the College in the Hartlleb Technology Center.
Tickets are $25 for lobster and $15 for chicken. Live entertainment will be provided.
:Farmers market coupons available: Farmers market coupons will be distributed Aug. 7 at the Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St.
Qualified recipients must be 60 years or older and provide proof that they receive SSI, Section 8 Housing, Energy Assistance or Medicaid. A photo identification with date of birth and address is required. Contact Kathy Bresnahan or Rita LaBella for additional information at 978-374-2390.
:Information sought for local sports book: Haverhill High School teacher Phil Brown is writing a book on Haverhill’s Sports Hall of Fame and other sports trivia.

:Trip to White Mountain Hotel: The Council on Aging is hosting a trip to the White Mountain Hotel Nov. 21 and 22.
This trip includes fabulous food, entertainment, and shopping at the Christmas Dove and Calef’s in Barrington, N.H. Cost is $230 per person, double occupancy.
:Trip to see treasure exhibit: The Council on Aging is planning a trip to the Peabody Essex Museum to see the “Faberge Revealed” exhibit on Aug. 21.
The name Faberge is synonymous with refined craftsmanship, jeweled luxury and the Russian imperial family. More than 230 treasures from the late 19th and early 20 centuries are featured. Call 978-374-2390, ext.11, for details.
