Get Smart Fundraiser ready to start

Haverhill public schools and UNO Pizzeria & Grill will hold their second annual Get Smart Haverhill fundraiser from March 3 to April 13.

Sponsors are CCS New England, the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce and Align Credit Union. Last year’s event raised nearly $8,000 for Haverhill public schools and provided Tilton School with a SMART Board valued at nearly $1,800, donated by CCS New England.

From March 3 through April 13, UNO’s will donate 20 percent of your total bill directly to your chosen school. Just present a fundraiser ticket to your server. The school that raises the most funds will receive a SMART Interactive Response System and applicable software valued at $4,000, donated by CCS New England. SMART Interactive Response Systems enable teachers to instantly assess learning through formative and summative assessments – increasing student participation and improving learning outcomes.

Align Credit Union is providing weekly incentive prizes to schools that raise the most funds during the program. Prizes include a laptop, iPad and a $500 Staples gift card. A celebration party will be held at the end of April. Last year’s party saw more than 300 attendees and featured a dunk tank, a clown and balloon maker, live music, and other activities for kids. Get Smart Haverhill fundraiser tickets are available online at www.haverhill-ps.org or www.haverhillchamber.org. Fundraiser tickets are valid for use in the restaurant and bar, as well as for take-out, delivery and catering. Tickets may be printed or shown to your server on your phone.
