It was all about the number 100.
About 90 kindergarten students at Crowell Kindergarten Center in the city’s Riverside neighborhood cele-brated their 100th day of school by making displays of 100 items.
The displays were “sweet,’’ “wild’’ and “playful.’’ They included 100 rolls of Smarties candy, 100 pieces of popcorn, 100 images of owls and 100 Lego pieces.
The children also dressed up as they imagined what they might look like when they are 100 years old.
Parents and grandparents were invited to the celebration. The Crowell, along with the Bartlett Kindergarten Center in the city’s Mount Washington neighborhood, opened as all-day kindergarten centers in the fall of 2012.
