Fantini Bakery triumphed over Align Credit Union in an overtime period shootout 3-2. William Lee and Obed Marcelin both scored a goal for Align Credit Union in the second period, giving them a 2-0 lead by the end of the period. The game took a huge U-turn when Braden Lynch and Neondre Abreu both scored one goal each for Fantini Bakery to tie the game and force an overtime shootout. Fantini Bakery walked away with the win when Neondre Abreu scored the game-winning goal.

Rice & Brouillard beat Blase Distefano 2-1. Calvin Pruett scored the first goal of the game for Blase Distefano, which gave them a 1-0 lead by the end of the first period. Things quickly changed when Victor Portorreal scored a goal to tie the game at the beginning of the second period. The score remained tied 1-1 through the third period. In a sudden-death overtime period, Xavier Lopez hit the game winning goal for Rice & Brouillard with 52.8 seconds left on the clock.

Arty’s Roast Beef beat Restaurant Restoration Service 4-1. Neither team scored a goal in the first period, but things quickly changed in the second period when Ryan Wentworth, Jadiel Gomez and Zack Novack all scored a goal for Arty’s Roast Beef, giving them a 3-0 lead by the end of the second period. In the third period, Jaden Arias scored a goal for Arty’s to secure the victory. Gabriel Murphy scored a goal for Restaurant Restoration Service with 1:53 on the clock, but it was too late for a comeback.

JV League Floor Hockey, Game 2

JNR Gutters triumphed over the 99 Restaurant & Pub 10-6. Tyresse Gutierrez scored a season high three goals for JNR Gutters. Dylan Fontaine and Jake Freitas both scored two goals for JNR in the first period. Jakob Ruperto scored an amazing five goals for the 99 Restaurant & Pub, but it wasn’t enough to take the win.

Align Credit Union took out Sparky’s Wings and Things 7-4. By the end of the first period, Sparky’s had a 3-2 lead. By the end of the second half, Align Credit Union took the lead 5-4. Sparky’s Wings and Things struggled to score in the third period, when Jared Libby scored his fourth goal for Align Credit Union to secure the victory.

Minor League Basketball, Game 2

VIP Cuts trimmed Jacqueline’s Grocery Store 35-24. Nazair Dabreo scored a game high 16 points in the showdown for VIP Cuts. Sebastian Camacho carried Jacqueline’s with a team high 14 points. Evan Carlisle demonstrated great ball movement and scored 10 points for VIP Cuts.

Half Staff remained undefeated with a 17-14 victory over Shoe City Hardware. Enrique Alvarado controlled the tempo of the game as point-guard for Half Staff and scored seven points. Elias Polanco played strong in the paint and scored 6 points for Half Staff. Enrique Ruiz and Denzel Gonzales both hit three-pointers in the fourth quarter for Shoe City Hardware, but it wasn’t enough to take the win.

Mediterranean Pizza squeaked by Early Contractors 35-34. Edward Perez scored an outstanding game-high 20 points for Early Contractors. Phillip Cunningham played a strong game for Mediterranean Pizza with 18 points in the showdown.

Edward Perez managed to shut down Phillip Cunningham in the fourth quarter, but Brandon Donald picked up the slack with seven points in the quarter for Mediterranean Pizza.

Major League Basketball, Game two

Early Contractors overpowered Lucky’s Pizza 39-26. Joshua Santacruz scored 15 points with ease for Early Contractors. Jason McKeon played point-guard and scored 9 points for Lucky’s Pizza. Pablo Vargas scored 11 points for Early Contractors, which remains undefeated.

GL Enterprises squeezed past JDR’s Auto/Welding 29-28. Sebastian Batista dominated the paint and scored 12 points for GL Enterprises. Samuel Powell scored a team high 12 points for JDR’s Auto/Welding, but was shut down by Sebastian Batista in the fourth quarter. JDR’s Auto/Welding had the lead 28-27 with 16.3 seconds left on the clock, but Cole Smith hit a crucial mid-range jump shot to take the win for GL Enterprises.
