Branch opening in 2014

NORTH ANDOVER — Pentucket Bank has received approval of their plans for the construction of a new branch location in North Andover. The North Andover Planning Board and Conservation Committee have given the green light for the new full service Pentucket Bank branch which will be located at 1077 Osgood St. Pentucket Bank anticipates construction of its newest office to begin in the spring of 2014 and plans to be open for business in late 2014.

L’Arche Irenicon’s 30th

HAVERHILL — L’Arche Irenicon, Haverhill, a residential community providing lifelong homes for adults with developmental disabilities, celebrated their 30th anniversary on Oct. 4, with a breakfast at the Black Swan Country Club in Georgetown. L’Arche Irenicon is a unique residential living model where core members (disabled) and their live-in assistants (abled staff) live together creating homes. L’Arche was founded in France in 1963 and today has over 137 communities in over 38 countries around the globe. Patricia Deegan, PH.D, a nationally recognized disability rights activist and longtime friend of L’Arche Irenicon, was the keynote speaker at the breakfast. Irenicon honored three community organizations who have made a difference in the lives of the community members: the LaSalette Faith Community, the Wadleigh Foundation and the Topsfield Fire Department. School helps Emmaus

HAVERHILL — The Walnut Square School PTO held its annual Fall Festival on Oct. 20. Past, present and future Walnut Square students attended the event. The National Junior Honor Society from J.G. Whittier Middle School volunteered their time to help make the event a success. Walnut Square School is currently collecting gently used coats, hats, mittens, etc. All sizes will be accepted and all items received will be washed courtesy of EZ Way Cleaners and will then be donated to the Emmaus House.
