Hillie winter sports in full swing

Hillies wrestlers make strong showing

The Hillie wrestling team had a strong showing on Saturday at Methuen. The Hillies went 3-1 on the day, with Luc Chretien, Jordan Faulkner and Reece Millington all going undefeated. Haverhill will travel to Chelmsford this Saturday for another quad meet before returning home on Wednesday night to host North Andover.

Girls hockey ties in first home game

In their first home game ever, the girls hockey team skated to a 1-1 tie with Concord-Carlisle. The Hillies are 1-3-1 as they make their way through the inaugural season. They will host Chelmsford this Tuesday night at Veterans Memorial Rink.

Boys swim team to host Burlington on Friday

The boys swim team evened its record at 1-1 with a 91-77 win over Pinkerton Academy on Dec. 27. The Hillies will be home this Friday afternoon to host Burlington at 4 p.m.

Girls basketball team gets two wins at Epping Tourney

The girls basketball team got into the win column over the break with a pair of victories at the Epping Tournament. The Hillies defeated Sanborn 40-33 and Derryfield 46-40. Haverhill will be at Methuen this Friday night before returning home on Jan. 17 to host Lawrence.

Boys basketball team falls to Dracut in overtime

The boys basketball team dropped a 69-64 decision in overtime to Dracut at the Lowell Holiday Tournament on Dec. 30. The Hillies will travel to St. John’s on Friday night before returning home on Jan. 14 to host Methuen.

Boys hockey team faces North Andover on Saturday

The boys hockey team has won two of its last three games. The Hillies downed Concord-Carlisle 5-1 on Dec. 21 and defeated Shawsheen 3-1 on Dec. 27. Haverhill will play at North Andover on Saturday night and will host Methuen on Jan. 15.

Indoor track teams to face Central and Chelmsford

The boys and girls indoor track teams return to action this week. They will take on Central Catholic at Lowell High School on Thursday and face Chelmsford on Monday at Lawrence High School.
