---- — The Haverhill spring sports season started off on a positive note last week, with the girls lacrosse team winning its home opener.
The Hillies edged Triton 17-15 in overtime at Trinity Stadium on Friday afternoon. Senior Kristy Robertson, the school’s all-time leading scorer, netted her 100th career goal in the game. The girls lacrosse team will be home for two more games this week, hosting Pentucket on Thursday and Tewksbury on Friday.
Other Hillies kick off spring sports season
All other Haverhill spring sports teams have begun their seasons with busy schedules.
There are 320 student athletes representing Haverhill on the sports teams this spring, bringing the total number of participants to more than 1,000 for the school year.
