The Lamp Post

Save the date: The 13th annual Scavenger Hunt will be Saturday, Nov. 9, Veterans Day weekend. It’s a great event full of mystery and fun that typically draw many participants. Organizers said the theme, as well as other details, will be announced.

Still growing: Each year, the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Haverhill adds more activities for its members. The club’s Education Center is now hosting a History Club every Friday from 5 to 6 p.m. To begin, the kids are learning the history of ancient Egypt and creating themed projects each week. By the end of the program, they’ll be able to showcase what they’ve learned along with what they’ve created.

Speaking of the club: The Boys & Girls Club wants to thank Pentucket Bank for its recent donation of school supplies to the club’s Education Center. The bank donated notebooks, pencils, pens, paper, coloring materials, calculators and other items. Every little bit helps these kids, club officials said.
