102-year-old is among 400 people at dinner

It was the biggest Armenian social event in Haverhill in 20 years.

A recent church unity dinner-dance at Michael’s Function Hall was attended by 400 people.

Included in the gathering was 102-year-old Nellie Nazarian of Haverhill — the last genocide survivor in Merrimack Valley — who gathered with four family generations at her table. She came to hear the music and was given a bouquet. Several local churches, businesses and individuals planned the event.
