:Seminar on Nutrition and Health: Nutrition and Health, a medical Meet the Expert seminar with Steward Health Care physician William Ingram, MD, is Feb. 5 from 6 to 7 p.m. in Merrimack Valley Hospital’s first-floor auditorium. Attendees will understand the importance of nutrition in health, identify misconceptions in nutrition and health, and learn what is myth and truth about herbal medicine. This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. One contact hour will be awarded for nursing. :Haverhill Senior Baseball registration: Haverhill Senior Baseball will hold sign ups for anyone in the Haverhill area Feb. 9 and March 2, 9, and 16 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Haverhill YMCA, 81 Winter St. The league has divisions for players age 13 and players ages 14 to 15. All home games will be played on a regulation 90-foot diamond on the JV Field behind Trinity Stadium. :Homeland Security topic of lecture: Christopher Martinez, assistant special agent in charge with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations, will present a White Fund lecture titled “Homeland Security in 2013: An Overview” in partnership with Northern Essex Community College Feb. 8 at 8:45 a.m. at Lawrence High School, 70-72 N. :Valentine Party planned: The Council on Aging will hold a Valentine’s Day luncheon and dance Feb. 14 at 12:30 p.m. at the Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St. Music will be provided by A Goodtime DJ George Whitehouse.
