AZ Landscaping got back on track as a first-place team in a shutout against Starr Painting. Three minutes into the first period, John Vets and Sam Powell each scored a goal for AZ Landscaping. Starr Painting struggled to get a goal because Billy St. Amand’s goaltending was outstanding. AZ Landscaping now has a record of 4 wins and 1 loss. Starr Painting is in last place with a 1-4 record.

Don Wilson beat Sparky’s Wings and Things in an overtime shootout. Izaiah Murnane scored two goals in the first period, giving Don Wilson a 2-0 lead. Matthew Conte and Nick Fabrizio each scored a goal in the third period for Sparky’s Wings and Things to tie the game. In the shootout, Matthew McClintock scored the winning goal for Don Wilson and also showed great defense during the game. Don Wilson has a 2-3 record, putting the team in third place. Sparky’s Wings and Things remains in second place with a 3-2 record.

Minor League Floor Hockey Week 5

Rice & Brouillard Electric beat American Resource Staffing 2-0. Vinicio Carranza and Tyler Rice each scored for Rice & Brouillard Electric. The teams are tied with a 3-2 record.

Arty’s Roast Beef took the victory over Stymies Pizza in an overtime shootout. Nathan Libby scored two goals in the third period to tie the game and took the game into overtime for Stymies Pizza. Shelby Eason scored a goal in the shootout for Arty’s Roast Beef, giving her team the victory and keeping Arty’s in first place.

Javier’s Market continued its losing streak when it played Fantini Bakery. Adrian Isabel scored two goals in the game, securing the win for Fantini Bakery in the third period. Fantini has a 3-1-1 record. Javier’s Market suffered its fifth consecutive loss.

Major League Floor Hockey Week 6

Dempsey Insurance got the win over Messinger Chiropractic in an overtime shootout. Tyresse Gutierrez, Joe Santoro and Isaiah Murnane each scored a goal for Dempsey Insurance. Tuan Nguyen scored two goals and Jomil Reynoso scored one goal for Messinger Chiropractic to tie the game. In the shootout, Joe Santoro scored a goal that secured the victory, leaving Dempsey Insurance tied for first place with a 4-2 record.

Blase Distefano took the victory in an overtime shootout against Twomey & Legare Contracting. Jacob Ruperto scored a goal with 8:41 left in the third period to tie the game 1-1 for Twomey & Legare Contracting. Jared Libby was strong in the shootout, scoring the winning goal for Blase Distefano. Twomey & Legare Contracting and Blase Distefano are tied for first place with 4-2 records.

Malcolm Insurance got its first win, beating Pistone Containers. Jose Cespedes scored the goal that secured the win for Malcolm Insurance in the third period. Diovy Paulino played goalie the entire game, and did a great job for Malcolm Insurance. Pistone Containers has a 3-3 record. Malcolm Insurance has a 1-5 record.

Minor League Basketball Week 6

Richdale Convenience Store suffered its fifth consecutive loss, dropping a game to Shoe City Hardware. Carlos Rivera, Woody Reese and Yonga Zagarella each scored nine points for Shoe City Hardware. Julio Jubert scored 15 points for Richdale Convenience, but it wasn’t enough. Shoe City Hardware has a 4-2 record and is tied for first place.

Jacquelines Grocery Store took the win over Early Contractors by four points. Cristian Ovalles and Joshua Gariepy showed great teamwork for Jacquelines Grocery Store, leaving the team tied for first place with a 4-2 record. Early Contractors has a 3-3 record.

The Common 1854 fought hard in a close game against Fireside Restaurant & Pub, but Fireside took the win by one point. Phillip Cunningham stepped up for Fireside Restaurant & Pub, scoring 14 points. The Common 1854 was left with with a 2-4 record. Fireside Restaurant & Pub is tied for first place with a 4-2 record.

Major League Basketball Week 6

High Street Market played hard against Destiny’s Spanish Market, but lost in triple overtime and is no longer undefeated. Navin Cruz scored an impressive 54 points for High Street Market. Sylus Kitchens scored 58 points for Destiny’s Spanish Market, which was enough to take the victory and end his team’s losing streak.

Early Contractors put an end to JDR’s Auto/Welding & Towing two-game winning streak in a battle for second place. Eduardo Gonzales scored 24 points, mostly from offensive rebounds for Early Contractors. Kenny Plante scored 28 points for JDR’s Auto/Welding & Towing. The teams are tied for second place.
