Library to host Fairy Tale Ball: On April 12 from 6:30 to 8 p.m., the public library will open its doors to fairy princesses, knights in shining armor and dragons. Join your friends for a fun family evening of music, magic and mayhem, with costumes strongly encouraged. This is an all-ages event. Vietnam Veterans Day Remembrance: The Veterans Northeast Outreach Center will hold its annual Vietnam Veterans Day Remembrance ceremony on April 13 at 10 a.m. at the George R. Harris Vietnam Veterans Hall, 10 Reed St. All members of the community are invited to attend. Please note this annual celebration has been held in March in past years. Frozen Shamrock 3-Mile Run: The Frozen Shamrock 3-Mile Run will be held April 14 at 1 p.m. The run was postponed from Feb. 24 due to the weather. For updates to the Frozen Shamrock, visit www.runthewildrover.com.

Little Orphan Annie performances on tap: Spotlight Playhouse will present “Little Orphan Annie” in the Haverhill High School auditorium, April 19, 20, 26 and 27 at 7 p.m. and April 28 at 3 p.m. Annie, played by Katie Lowell, 11, of Groveland is a fiery young orphan girl who must live in a miserable orphanage run by the tyrannical Miss Hannigan, played by Rina Cerrulli of Melrose. Her seemingly hopeless situation changes dramatically when she is selected to spend a short time at the residence of the wealthy munitions industrialist, Oliver Warbucks, played by Kevin Wilson of North Andover. Quickly, she charms the hearts of the household staff, including Grace Farrell, played by Meghan Dalton of Beverly, and even the seemingly cold-hearted Warbucks cannot help but learn to love this wonderful girl.
