BREAKING NEWS: Lease deal set for Brooks Brothers suit manufacturer's move to Haverhill
Southwick Clothing and its parent company, Retail Brand Alliance, will lease 91,550 square feet of manufacturing space at 20 Computer Drive in Haverhill, near the entrance to the new Target and Lowe's stores off Broadway (Route 97) in the industrial park there.
Klemmer Associates, a commercial real estate firm based in Winchester, announced the lease agreement on Wednesday, Aug. 27.
Southwick and Brooks Brothers have been affiliated for nearly 60 years.
"Southwick's former facility was on five floors in an outdated facility," said Tyler Ewing, an associate with Grubb & Ellis real estate firm, which represented Southwick Clothing in the lease transaction "The move from Lawrence to Haverhill puts the company all on one level in a relatively new, state-of-the-art facility. The move still keeps more than 300 jobs in the region at a time most companies are outsourcing overseas."
