:Ballet auditions planned: The New England Civic Ballet will hold open auditions Jan. 6 for all dancers 10 and older from any dance studio for its spring production of Prokofiev’s Cinderella Ballet. Audition times are by age and will begin at 10 a.m. at NECB studios, 4 Dracut St., Lawrence. There is a $15 audition fee, but no performance fees. :Church plans supper: First Church of Christ, 10 Church St., Bradford, will have a ham and bean supper Jan. 5 at 5 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children. The meal will feature ham, hot dogs, baked beans, potato salad, cole slaw, bread, dessert and beverages. More information is available at 978-374-1114 or www.fccbradford.org.

:Women’s Club kicks off year: The Women’s City Club of Haverhill will have its first meeting of the new year Jan. 8 at the Advent Christian Church, 160 Carlton St. The coffee hour will begin at 1:30 p.m., followed by the business meeting at 2 p.m. The program, which will feature Lori Gordon and Rescue Dogs, begins at 2:15 p.m. Gordon is a doctor of veterinary medicine. She is a member of the Mass. Task Force and National Seacoast Rescue and Response System. She works with FEMA following disasters where trained dogs help find injured people.

:Big Brothers, Sisters seek donations: The Big Brother Big Sister Foundation is in need of the public’s support through donations of lightly used clothing and small household items. It asks that while you clean out your closets this winter you consider donating your lightly worn clothing to the foundation. The foundation will be collecting donations door to door in Haverhill and Groveland on Jan. 10. To schedule a free curbside pickup, please call 800-483-5503 or email donate@bbbsfoundation.org.
